Gorgeous Wednesday Ahead as Summer Shines Across New Jersey

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

Good Wednesday morning, New Jersey!

We’re waking up to another beautiful morning across the Garden State , almost a copy and paste of yesterday, but perhaps even better.

It’s an awesome way to start this late-August summer day, with comfortable temperatures and plenty of sunshine expected throughout the state.

Early this morning, temperatures are sitting at 69 degrees in Newton, 65 in Roselle Park, 65 in Linden, 67 in Newark, 68 in Hoboken and a cool 61 degrees in West Orange.

Unlike yesterday, when a few isolated showers popped up around parts of New Jersey, today is shaping up to be a fantastic weather day from north to south.

According to the National Weather Service, skies will be sunny with a high near 84 degrees. Winds will remain calm before becoming southwest at around 5 mph during the afternoon.

Tonight, clouds will gradually increase with temperatures falling to around 69 degrees.

Changes are expected Thursday as a system approaches the region, bringing the potential for periods of heavy rain and possible flooding.

We’ll keep an eye on that forecast as it gets closer.

But for now, Jersey, enjoy what we have in front of us — sunshine, comfortable temperatures and another beautiful summer day.

Make it a great Wednesday, NJ!
