Police in Keansburg launched an investigation after a violent incident left two people injured late Sunday night.
Emergency responders were called to the area of 250 Beachway Avenue shortly before 11:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing.
According to preliminary information, EMS crews responded to treat a victim who reportedly suffered a stab wound to the shoulder.
Authorities also located a second person at the scene who had reportedly been injured in an assault.
The conditions of both victims were not immediately available, and officials have not released information regarding what led to the violence.
Police continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
No arrests or additional details were immediately reported.
