A late-night altercation aboard a Hudson-Bergen Light Rail vehicle in Jersey City left one man injured and another under arrest, authorities said.
According to information provided by NJ Transit, at approximately 12:50 a.m., New Jersey Transit Police received a report of an altercation aboard a light rail vehicle that was stopped at Liberty State Park.
Police determined that a physical confrontation began between two adult males aboard the train and escalated, resulting in one of the men being slashed in the forehead.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and refused medical attention, officials said.
The other man involved in the altercation was taken into custody and charged with assault and possession of a weapon.
New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation.
