Jersey City Police are investigating a slashing that left a person injured late Monday night.
According to preliminary information, police were called to the area of 18 Linden Avenue at approximately 11:20 p.m. after receiving reports of an assault involving a knife.
The victim reportedly suffered a slash wound to the arm during what authorities initially believed was a domestic-related incident.
The victim’s condition was not immediately available.
Police were searching for a male suspect who reportedly fled the scene wearing a white shirt.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, and additional information is expected as it becomes available.
