A construction worker was injured Thursday evening after falling from a scaffold at a work site in Jersey City, prompting an emergency response from police, firefighters, and EMS.

The accident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. at a construction site in the 2900 block of John F. Kennedy Boulevard.
Reports said the worker fell approximately 10 feet from a scaffold. Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene, where firefighters and EMS evaluated and treated the injured worker.
The victim was stabilized, and taken to the hospital for treatement.
The extent of the worker’s injuries was not immediately available.
The circumstances surrounding the fall remain under investigation.
