State officials are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred Thursday, August 6, at a residence in Millville, Cumberland County.
The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office said the incident resulted in the death of an adult male civilian.
Authorities have not released the man’s identity or the name of the officer involved.
The Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability is leading the investigation, as required in cases involving deaths that occur during encounters with law enforcement.
According to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, the investigation remains active and no additional information has been released.
