Good morning, New Jersey!
We are waking up to cloudy skies across Newark and much of North Jersey on this early Tuesday morning.

We hope you’re waking up feeling well. If you’re with us at 4:30 a.m., it’s currently 72 degrees in downtown Newark.
It’s a bit humid to start the day, but much more comfortable than yesterday as clouds linger through the morning.
After Monday’s torrential rain that caused widespread flooding across the region, today will bring a much-needed break. While an isolated pop-up shower can’t be ruled out in a few spots this afternoon, we’re not expecting another washout.
In fact, today looks to be one of the nicest days of the week. Most of New Jersey will enjoy a mix of sunshine and dry weather with comfortable temperatures.
Early morning temperatures include 58 degrees in Sussex, 61 in Morristown, 59 in Somerville, and 69 in Passaic County.
High temperatures will climb into the lower 80s, making for a pleasant summer day.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 84 degrees and light, variable winds. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low around 68 degrees and light, variable winds.
Enjoy the break from the storms, have a safe Tuesday, and thanks for starting your morning with RLS Metro Breaking News!
