UPDATE: Camden Shooting Leaves 35-Year-Old Man Dead

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a Camden man Friday night.

According to information released by Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez, officers responded to the 100 block of North 24th Street at approximately 9:50 p.m. on July 31 after receiving a report of a person shot.

 

When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Edgar Velasco-Hernandez suffering from a gunshot wound.

 

Velasco-Hernandez was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 11:37 p.m.


No arrests have been reported, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
