Emergency responders were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Newark early Sunday morning that left one vehicle overturned.
According to preliminary reports, the collision occurred shortly before 3 a.m. in the 200 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard. Initial reports indicate the crash involved three vehicles, with one overturning as a result of the impact.
Police from the city’s 5th Precinct, Newark EMS, and fire personnel responded to the scene.
At least one person was being evaluated by EMS, and a rescue unit was requested to assist responders.
The extent of any injuries has not been officially confirmed, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
