Authorities in Monmouth County are investigating a violent overnight crash that left at least one person with life-threatening injuries in Wall Township.

According to preliminary emergency dispatch information, the crash occurred just before midnight near the intersection of Route 138 and New Bedford Road.
First responders arrived to find a heavily damaged vehicle with at least one occupant trapped inside.
Initial reports indicated the victim was unconscious and had no detectable pulse when crews arrived. The incident was reported as a possible fatal crash, though officials have not yet confirmed whether the victim survived.
Firefighters and emergency medical personnel worked to free the trapped occupant while police secured the area.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
Motorists experienced some traffic disruptions in the area overnight as emergency crews remained on scene.
