A juvenile girl was injured in an apparent stabbing following what authorities believe was a fight in Paterson on Sunday evening.
Emergency responders were called to the 300 block of 12th Avenue, where they found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.
She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her condition has not been released.
Preliminary information indicates the incident stemmed from an apparent altercation.
It has not been confirmed whether those involved knew each other.
Police initially searched for two juvenile female suspects who fled the area. One suspect was later taken into custody, while a second juvenile was located and detained after receiving medical treatment.
The investigation remains active, and authorities have not released additional details.
