Two juveniles from Sicklerville have been charged in connection with a June shooting and robbery that left a 19-year-old man critically injured, according to information released by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were each charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree tampering with evidence.
The charges stem from a shooting that occurred at approximately 9:59 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, when Winslow Township police responded to Locust Court following reports of gunfire.
Officers arrived to find a 19-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle that had crashed into an unoccupied parked car.
The victim was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Investigators determined the two juveniles were responsible for the shooting and allegedly robbed the victim of a watch and several other personal belongings during the incident.
The 16-year-old suspect was taken into custody on Friday, July 17, in Winslow Township by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division.
The 15-year-old suspect was arrested on Monday, July 20, in Pine Hill by members of the same U.S. Marshals fugitive task force.
The investigation remains under the direction of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Winslow Township Police Department.
