A massive law enforcement response converged on North Arlington Sunday night following reports of a double shooting outside a bar and lounge on Ridge Road, just as thousands of officers were already deployed across North Jersey for the FIFA World Cup Final.

According to preliminary information , the shooting occurred in the area of 14 Ridge Road, where first responders reported two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

One victim was reportedly transported as a trauma code, while emergency crews continued efforts to secure transportation for the second victim.

Authorities requested extensive mutual aid from agencies throughout Bergen County, with New Jersey State Police also responding to assist.

Initial reports said  that more than a dozen officers from surrounding jurisdictions were sent to the scene, including units being redirected from World Cup security assignments at the Meadowlands.

The possible suspect vehicles, included a brown BMW believed to have fled north on Ridge Road and a white van, possibly a U-Haul, that was reportedly seen leaving the area toward Belleville.

At this time, the conditions of the victims have not been officially confirmed, and no arrests have been announced.
