Kearny Police Pursuit Ends in Harrison After Suspects Bail Out of Vehicle

A police pursuit involving Kearny officers ended in Harrison early Saturday morning after four suspects abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot, according to preliminary information.

The incident took place shortly before 2:45 a.m. and came to an end near Warren Street and Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard South. 

During the pursuit, a Kearny police vehicle was reportedly involved in a collision with the suspects’ vehicle.
 

Authorities were able to apprehend one suspect after a foot chase, while three others escaped and remained at large as officers searched the area.

 

Police requested K-9 units and drones to assist in the search, with multiple law enforcement agencies responding to the scene.

 

Officials have not yet released information about what prompted the pursuit or what charges the suspects may face. 

It is also unclear whether anyone was injured in the collision.
