We're waking up to a few changes after Tuesday's beautiful weather. Today will still be warm and humid, but you'll want to keep an umbrella handy as showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon.

It won't be a total washout, but periods of rain could impact your afternoon commute and outdoor plans.
As of this morning, it's 73 degrees in downtown Newark under mild conditions. If you're heading out early or sending the kids to the bus stop, it's a good idea to pack an umbrella for later in the day.
According to the National Weather Service, there's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 p.m., followed by showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Additional scattered showers and thunderstorms remain possible after 5 p.m.
Patchy fog is expected before 8 a.m., with skies becoming partly sunny and a high near 87 degrees. South winds will range from 6 to 10 mph.
The chance of precipitation is 60%, with rainfall totals between a quarter and one-half inch possible.
Tonight, there's a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8 p.m.
Skies will remain mostly cloudy, with an overnight low around 71 degrees and south winds between 5 and 8 mph.
