The Parsippany Library is encouraging residents of all ages to spend the summer discovering new books through its annual Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story,” running now through August 15.

The free community-wide program invites children, teens, and adults to explore books, audiobooks, and eBooks while earning prizes and raffle entries throughout the summer.
This year’s theme, “Unearth a Story,” celebrates the adventures found through reading—from mysteries and historical accounts to imaginative fiction and inspiring nonfiction.
Participants can log their reading using the Beanstack platform and earn rewards based on their progress.
Children from birth through fifth grade can track the time they spend reading to earn weekly prizes and raffle tickets.
Teens in grades six through 12 will receive raffle entries by logging books, while adults can earn rewards by completing reading milestones.
Adults who read three books will receive a complimentary copy of The Maid by Nita Prose, the library’s 2026 Community Read selection, while supplies last.
Those who complete six books will also receive a commemorative Parsippany Library mini tote.
Library officials say the annual program is designed to encourage reading while helping families stay engaged throughout the summer months.
Participants can register through Beanstack online or by downloading the Beanstack mobile app. Reading must be logged by Saturday, August 15, when the program concludes.
Raffle winners will be selected after the program ends and notified by email.
Summer Reading activities, special programs, and prize opportunities will be held throughout the season at the Main Library, Lake Hiawatha Branch Library, and Mount Tabor Branch Library.
The Summer Reading Program is free and open to all members of the community.
