Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Monday, June 22, Tommie Feaster, 65, from Atlantic City, pleaded guilty to second-degree aggravated assault – strangulation of a domestic violence victim - in front of the Honorable Ralph Paolone, J.S.C.

The plea calls for a sentence of five years in New Jersey State prison, subject to the No Early Release Act.

According to Atlantic County officials, on October 27, 2025, Atlantic City Police Officers responded to the Drexel Avenue area of Atlantic City regarding a domestic incident.

Officers responded to the residence and were met by the victim, ACPO officials say.

Atlantic County officials said the victim informed officers that the night prior, a verbal argument occurred between the victim and Feaster that resulted in Feaster wrapping both hands around the victim’s neck to the point where she could no longer breathe.

A minor individual was present and able to intervene to stop the assault, ACPO officials stated.

The victim and the minor then escaped into a nearby room. Feaster then followed them to that room and threatened the victim’s life, according to Atlantic County officials.

Sentencing is scheduled for August 12, 2026.
