Nara Organics has voluntarily recalled all of its Whole Milk Organic Infant Formula products sold nationwide after three infants in three states developed infant botulism, according to federal health officials.

The cases involved infants in California, Pennsylvania, and Washington who reportedly consumed the formula between April and May 2026, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The infants, ranging in age from 2 to 5 months old, were hospitalized and treated with BabyBIG, an antitoxin used to treat infant botulism. No deaths have been reported.
The recall applies to all Nara Organics Whole Milk Organic Infant Formula products sold in the United States between July 2025 and June 2026, including products purchased through Target stores, Target.com, and Nara.com.
Infant botulism is a rare but serious illness that occurs when Clostridium botulinum spores grow in a baby’s intestines and produce toxins that attack the nervous system.
In a statement, company officials said the health and safety of infants remains their top priority.
“The health of all babies is our first priority, and for that reason, we’re issuing a voluntary recall for all cans of Nara Organics infant formula currently available in the U.S.,” the company said.
Officials urged parents and caregivers to stop using all Nara Organics infant formula immediately.
The company said it was informed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on June 12 of epidemiological information linking three infant botulism cases to babies who had consumed the formula.
However, Nara Organics noted that no formula samples have tested positive for Clostridium botulinum.

“As of today, no Nara formula has tested positive for C. botulinum,” the company said. “We believe in taking the strongest possible measure to protect the safety of babies. That’s why we quickly decided, in an abundance of caution, to voluntarily recall all Nara Organics infant formula currently available in the U.S.”
Parents with recalled products are encouraged to discontinue use immediately and contact the company for additional information regarding refunds and product returns.
