Good morning, New Jersey!
We hope you’re waking up feeling great as we begin another summer-like day across the Garden State.

If you’re heading out early or waiting at the bus stop, temperatures are already warm.
It’s currently 74 degrees in downtown Newark, and conditions will only become hotter and more humid as the day progresses.
Prepare for a hazy, hot, and steamy afternoon.
The heat will be building not only today but through at least the next couple of days, so be sure to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be partly sunny with a high near 95 degrees.
Heat index values could climb as high as 102 degrees, making it feel even hotter outside.
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected after 5 p.m. Winds will be out of the west at 5 to 9 mph.
Tonight, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m., followed by a slight chance of additional showers through about 2 a.m.

Skies will remain mostly cloudy with overnight lows around 74 degrees. Winds will remain light from the west at 5 to 7 mph.
Make it a safe and productive Thursday, New Jersey, and remember to take precautions if you’ll be spending time outdoors in the heat.
