We hope you're waking up feeling refreshed and ready to take on this Wednesday.
It's a warm start across much of the state this morning, with temperatures already sitting at 71 degrees in downtown Newark.
While today won't be a washout, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop later this afternoon, impacting some communities while leaving others completely dry.
Temperatures around the region early this morning include 67 degrees in Sussex County, 65 in Somerville, 66 in Farmingdale, and 71 degrees in Newark.
Humidity levels will continue to climb throughout the day, making it feel noticeably warmer than the last few mornings.
Despite the increase in moisture, there will still be opportunities to get outside and enjoy parts of the day.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance of showers this morning, followed by a better chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m.
Skies will remain mostly cloudy with afternoon temperatures reaching near 83 degrees. Southwest winds will range from 6 to 10 mph.
The chance of precipitation today stands at 30 percent.
Tonight, a few showers and thunderstorms may linger, mainly before 11 p.m.
Skies will gradually become partly cloudy overnight with a low temperature around 72 degrees. Southwest winds will continue between 6 and 9 mph.

Keep an umbrella nearby just in case, but don't let the chance of a few showers slow you down.
