Motorcycle Crash Shuts Down Lanes on Interstate 80 in Hackensack

New Jersey State Police closed all westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Hackensack early Monday morning following a serious crash involving a motorcycle and two vehicles.

 

According to preliminary information, the collision occurred near mile marker 66.4 shortly before 2:30 a.m. 

 

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a crash involving a motorcycle on the highway.

Initial reports from first responders indicated that three vehicles, including a motorcycle, were involved in the incident. 

Authorities also reported that at least one vehicle may have left the scene following the crash.

 

Emergency medical personnel transported at least two victims to an area hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

 

The crash prompted the closure of all westbound lanes as police and emergency crews worked at the scene and conducted an investigation.

 

New Jersey State Police are leading the investigation.
