Fire officials in Camden County are investigating a Tuesday morning apartment fire in Pine Hill that left 6 people injured, including at least one juvenile.

According to preliminary information, firefighters were dispatched at approximately 1 a.m. to an apartment complex located on Erial Road after receiving reports of a structure fire.
Upon arrival, crews encountered flames coming from an apartment within a two-story residential building and quickly stretched multiple hose lines to begin an aggressive attack on the fire.
Emergency medical personnel were also called to the scene after firefighters discovered five occupants suffering from burns to various parts of their bodies.
At least one of the victims was reported to be a juvenile.
All 6 victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment, with some reportedly taken to the burn center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control in less than an hour, preventing further damage to the building.
The cause of the fire remains under active investigation by local fire officials. No additional information regarding the extent of the victims’ injuries was immediately available.
