Cool Start Gives Way to Pleasant Sunday Across Newark

Newark

Good morning, New Jersey.

We’re starting the second half of the weekend on a chilly note across Newark and much of the North Jersey region, so if you’re heading out for Sunday worship services or early morning activities, you’ll likely want a light jacket.

Temperatures have dipped to 48 degrees in downtown Newark this morning, with light winds around 7 mph making it feel a bit cooler in some locations.

Despite the crisp start, conditions are expected to improve nicely as the day progresses.

Sunshine will dominate the morning hours, providing a beautiful start to the day.

However, clouds are expected to gradually increase during the afternoon, turning skies mostly cloudy by later in the day.

According to the National Weather Service, increasing clouds are expected today with a high temperature near 76 degrees. Winds will remain light, becoming west at 5 to 10 mph during the morning.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly cloudy with overnight lows around 59 degrees. Winds will be light from the west at 3 to 8 mph.

Enjoy the comfortable weather and have a wonderful Sunday, New Jersey.
