Police in Trenton are searching for several suspects wanted in connection with a violent stabbing late Monday night.
The incident happened just before 11:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Brunswick Avenue, where officers were called after reports of an injured person.
When police arrived, they found a male victim suffering from stab wounds to his shoulder. 
He was treated at the scene before being transported to an area hospital, where he is expected to survive.
During a canvas of the area, officers reportedly located a possible suspect, who fled on foot. Police gave chase, but the individual managed to elude officers.
No arrests were reported.
The motive for the stabbing remains under active investigation.
