Verona police are searching for three suspects following an attempted residential burglary early Thursday morning.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. in the 40 block of Kenwood Avenue.
Officers were dispatched to the neighborhood after receiving reports of suspicious activity.
Investigators said three males allegedly attempted to gain entry into a residence through a window.
When the suspects pushed on the window, a security alarm was activated, causing them to flee the property before gaining access to the home, authorities said.
The suspects were last seen entering what is believed to be a dark-colored SUV and leaving the area toward Fairview Avenue.
No injuries were reported, and sit was not immediately clear if any property was damaged during the attempted break-in.

The incident remains under active investigation by the Verona Police Department. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
