Authorities in Maplewood are investigating the death of an individual found inside a portable toilet Wednesday afternoon.
According to preliminary information, police were dispatched to the 200 block of Oakland Road at approximately 4:30 p.m. after receiving reports of suspicious activity in the area.
Upon arriving and conducting a search, officers located an unidentified person partially clothed and unresponsive inside a portable restroom.
The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not released the victim’s identity, and investigators have not indicated whether foul play is suspected.
The circumstances surrounding the death remain under active investigation.
