Newark

Good Sunday morning, Jersey!

We are off to a warm start across Newark and the North Jersey region, and temperatures are expected to soar through the day with a true summer-like feel settling into the area.

If you’re heading out to first Sunday service at your house of worship, you can leave the heavy jackets and winter gear behind.

Light clothing is recommended this morning as beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures take over the region.

It will be a bit breezy at times, but nothing that should interfere with what is shaping up to be a gorgeous day weather-wise.

As of 4:30 a.m., it is currently 64 degrees at Broad and Market Street in downtown Newark, with winds gusting at around 11 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 90 degrees. West winds are expected between 5 and 13 mph.

Tonight will remain mild with partly cloudy skies and a low around 68. Southwest winds between 5 and 8 mph will become calm later in the evening.

Have a great Sunday, Jersey!
