Members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office joined students, educators and community leaders this week to recognize youth leadership and awareness efforts focused on human trafficking prevention.
According to officials, Sgt. Patrick LaGuerre of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office attended the Kids4Freedom Safety Challenge ’26 Congressional Awards Dinner on May 13 at Montclair State University.
The event honored students for their work in promoting safety, education and community advocacy through a series of contests centered on raising awareness about human trafficking.
The evening featured student winners in the Kids4Freedom art poster contest, creative writing contest and awareness campaign competition.
Organizers said the program encourages students to work together to develop creative and impactful campaigns designed to educate communities about the dangers of human trafficking.
Officials said the event highlighted the importance of empowering young people to use their voices and talents to support public safety initiatives and social awareness efforts throughout New Jersey.
