Chilly Start Across North Jersey Gives Way to Sunny and Milder Tuesday

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

Good Tuesday, Jersey!

We are waking up to a much different feel across the region this morning, with some areas in North Jersey waking up near the freezing mark.

It is currently 49 degrees in downtown Newark, while brisk winds are making it feel even colder to start the day.

If you are headed to the bus stop or getting an early start, a warm jacket will definitely come in handy, and residents in Morris, Sussex, and portions of northern Bergen counties may even want a heavier coat before temperatures warm later this afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, sunshine will help temperatures rebound nicely today with highs climbing into the upper 60s before clouds gradually increase tonight as temperatures settle into the lower 50s.

Have a great Tuesday, NJ!
