Cool, Gloomy Start to the Week Across Newark and North Jersey Region

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

Good Monday morning from Newark and across the North Jersey region as we begin the new week with cool, gloomy conditions.

As of early this morning, temperatures in downtown Newark are hovering around 53 degrees with patches of light drizzle moving through portions of the region.

The damp weather should gradually taper off as the morning progresses.

If you are headed out to the bus stop or starting your morning commute, a warm jacket will be a good idea as a steady breeze is making it feel a bit cooler outside.

According to the National Weather Service, today will remain mostly cloudy with a high near 65 degrees and north winds between 5 and 10 mph.

Tonight, skies will stay mostly cloudy during the early evening before gradual clearing takes place overnight.

Temperatures are expected to dip to around 46 degrees with light north winds continuing.

Have a great day, Jersey!
