Four Armed, Masked Suspects Sought After Attempted Carjacking in Paramus

Bergen County authorities are investigating an attempted armed carjacking in Paramus overnight that prompted a countywide search for several suspects.

According to preliminary information, police were alerted shortly after midnight to an attempted carjacking on Harrison Street involving four masked men reportedly armed with handguns.

 

Investigators said the suspects were traveling in a white Acura MDX when they allegedly attempted to steal a vehicle from a victim in the area.

 

During the search, officers from River Edge Police Department spotted the suspect vehicle traveling eastbound on Route 4. 

Police pursued the vehicle for a short distance before losing sight of it in the area of Teaneck.

 

Authorities said the suspect vehicle displayed a partial New Jersey registration of “KKM.”

 

The investigation remains active and ongoing. No injuries were immediately reported.
