Director Emanuel Miranda is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects accused of burglarizing a Newark clothing store and stealing merchandise and jewelry during an early morning break-in last month.
According to authorities, officers responded to a burglary alarm at House of Style, located in the 100 block of Halsey Street, on April 27, 2026.
When police arrived, they found the store’s front glass door shattered with a brick lying inside the business.
Investigators also observed empty clothing racks and an opened display case that previously contained jewelry, belts, and glasses.
Surveillance video captured the suspects at approximately 3:35 a.m. throwing a brick through the glass door before entering the store.
Police said the trio stole approximately 30 pairs of jeans and a box of jewelry before fleeing eastbound on Cedar Street.
Anyone with information regarding the suspects is urged to contact the Newark Police Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS.
