Authorities in Newark are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 43-year-old man.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., Rafael Batista was reported missing on April 20, 2026.
He was last seen in the 60 block of North 5th Street, between Dickerson Street and Sussex Avenue.
Batista is described as a Hispanic male, standing approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, a white shirt, and blue pants.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information regarding Batista’s whereabouts to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS.
