Wallet Stolen from Parked Car in Newark; Police Ask Public for Help

Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect accused of stealing a wallet from a parked vehicle in Newark.

According to Director Emanuel Miranda Sr., the incident occurred on April 28, 2026, in the 100 block of Isabella Avenue.
 

Police said the victim parked his vehicle around 7:45 a.m. and inadvertently left the front passenger window down. 

When he returned at approximately 9 a.m., he discovered his wallet missing and his personal belongings scattered throughout the vehicle.

 

Investigators say surveillance video captured the suspect removing the wallet. 

The individual is described as a thin-built male wearing a navy-blue baseball cap, blue jean jacket, red T-shirt, blue jeans, red sneakers, and eyeglasses.

 

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS.
