As of 4:30 a.m. in downtown Newark, light drizzle remains, but conditions are expected to improve as we head through the early morning hours.

Most of the rain should clear out by around 8 a.m., setting the stage for a mostly dry day.

If you’re heading out early—especially to the bus stop—you’ll want a light jacket and an umbrella to stay comfortable.

According to the National Weather Service, there’s a slight chance of showers before 11 a.m. and again after 2 p.m.

Skies will remain mostly cloudy with a high near 64 degrees. Winds will be calm early, becoming northwest at 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

The chance of precipitation is around 20%.
