According to a statement released by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Attorney General Jennifer Davenport, alongside the Office of Alternative and Community Responses, announced the rollout of the updated NJ CARES website.

The redesigned platform offers residents easier access to information about how the state’s ongoing addiction crisis is impacting local communities, along with resources for individuals and families seeking help.

Officials said the updated website features interactive data dashboards with both state and county-level statistics, as well as streamlined access to treatment and recovery services.

The site is also designed to support community partners, first responders, and researchers working to reduce substance misuse and its related harms.

In addition to data and services, the platform includes educational videos, graphics, and a directory of Project Medicine Drop locations across New Jersey, where residents can safely dispose of unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications year-round.

The launch comes just ahead of National Drug Take Back Day, a biannual initiative that provides a safe and anonymous way for the public to dispose of potentially dangerous medications, including opioids that can lead to addiction and overdose.
