Authorities in Elizabeth are investigating a violent late-night crash that left several people injured in a city neighborhood.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred just before midnight Tuesday in the 1100 block of Elizabeth Avenue.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a crash involving injuries.
Upon arrival, EMS crews found the crash scene and began CPR on at least one individual.
Officials say at least two other victims were transported to the hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been confirmed.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Investigation Unit was requested to assist at the scene.
Authorities have not released details regarding what led up to the crash, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
