Good morning and welcome to Monday. I hope you had a great weekend.
Right now, it’s 40 degrees at Broad and Market Streets in Newark, and you’ll definitely want that warm coat before heading out.
After flirting with near 90-degree temperatures just days ago, the shift in air has been noticeable—so bundle up.
Around the region, temperatures are even cooler. Morristown is checking in at 37 degrees, while up in Sparta it’s right near freezing at 32. Paterson sits around 39 degrees, and Toms River is coming in at 38.
Across much of North Jersey, we’re hovering in the upper 30s to low 40s to start the day.
Winds are light, and conditions are dry in Newark for now, but radar is showing some scattered rain moving into parts of North Jersey.
It doesn’t look like a washout, but you may want to keep an umbrella nearby just in case.
According to the National Weather Service, we can expect a slight chance of showers between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Otherwise, skies will be partly sunny with a high near 54 degrees.
Winds will remain light, becoming northwest at 6 to 11 mph later this morning.
Tonight, conditions clear out with mostly clear skies and a low dipping down to around 32 degrees, with a north wind between 7 and 10 mph.

Stay warm, New Jersey—and have a great day.
