Under the terms of his plea agreement, Gunn is expected to be sentenced to a term of five years in New Jersey State Prison, ACPO officials said.

According to Atlantic County officials, on September 5, 2025, officers from the Atlantic City Police Department responded to a residence in Atlantic City for a report of a woman being assaulted.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who reported that her boyfriend, Calvin Gunn, had entered her home while she was sleeping and was attacked by someone, striking her multiple times in the head and face area, ACPO officials stated.

As a result of that assault, Atlantic County authorities say the victim sustained persistent ringing in her ear.

The victim’s children were present in the home at the time of the assault and heard their mother being assaulted, Atlantic County officials said.

According to Atlantic County officials, Gunn fled the scene prior to police arrival, but officers were able to locate and apprehend him later that same day.
