Good morning, New Jersey!

If you’re heading out the door, temperatures in Newark’s South Ward are already around 69 degrees, with humidity making it feel even warmer as April takes on a more August-like feel.

Plenty of sunshine is expected throughout the day, helping push temperatures close to 90 degrees in parts of North Jersey and potentially breaking daily records.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 89 degrees. Winds will start light before increasing out of the southwest at 6 to 11 mph.

Tonight, conditions will turn a bit more unsettled.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Skies will become mostly cloudy, with overnight lows around 67 degrees.
