Good Monday morning, New Jersey.
We’re waking up to a mild and comfortable start across Newark and the North Jersey region as the new week begins, setting the stage for a noticeable warmup over the next several days.
As of 4:30 a.m., temperatures in downtown Newark are hovering around 50 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
It’s a slightly cool start if you’re heading out early, but conditions are expected to improve quickly as the morning progresses.
According to the National Weather Service, today will turn out to be a beautiful spring day despite the early cloud cover.
Temperatures are forecast to climb into the upper 70s and even approach the low 80s in some areas.
Southwest winds between 6 and 11 mph will increase into the afternoon, with gusts potentially reaching up to 32 mph.
The warming trend won’t stop today. A stretch of unseasonably warm, almost summer-like weather is expected to take hold across the region throughout the week, bringing consistently mild mornings and warm afternoons.
Tonight, skies will clear out, with temperatures dipping to around 61 degrees. Winds will shift west between 6 and 11 mph, with occasional gusts up to 21 mph.

Enjoy the start to what looks like a warm and pleasant week ahead. Have a great day, New Jersey.
