Police Investigate Double Shooting in Jersey City, One Victim Critical

Authorities in Jersey City are investigating a late-night shooting that left two people injured on Sunday.
 

Police responded around 10:40 p.m. after being flagged down near the intersection of JFK Boulevard and Cottage Street, where a person reported that a gunshot victim was in the area. 

Upon further investigation, officers determined that two individuals had sustained gunshot wounds in the 90s block of Duffle Street.

 

According to preliminary information, one of the victims suffered critical injuries, while the second victim was reported to be in stable condition.
 

A search of the scene led officers to recover approximately a half dozen shell casings.


 No additional victims were located in the surrounding area.

 

The motive for the shooting remains under active and ongoing investigation. Authorities have not released further details at this time.
