We’re waking up to wet ground but mild, springlike air across Newark and the North Jersey region this Tuesday morning.

Good morning! As you head out, especially to the bus stop, you’ll notice it already feels warm with temperatures around 62 degrees in downtown Newark.
A light jacket is still a good idea early, but you won’t need anything heavy today.
Expect a warm afternoon with highs climbing into the mid to upper 70s, but don’t forget that umbrella. Rain is expected to move in later, with showers potentially heavier than what we saw overnight.
Enjoy the warmth while it lasts. A cooldown is on the way, with temperatures expected to take a noticeable dip by midweek.
According to the National Weather Service, there’s a slight 20 percent chance of showers before 2 p.m., followed by mostly sunny skies and a high near 79 degrees.
Winds will come from the southwest at 9 to 14 mph.
Tonight, conditions turn more unsettled. There’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., with a greater chance of rain after 2 a.m.

Skies will remain mostly cloudy with a low around 65 degrees.
Have an awesome day, Jersey!
