Authorities have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the death of his infant daughter months after she was found unresponsive inside a residence in Atlantic City.
Antonio Reyes was taken into custody on Thursday, March 26, 2026, and charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter in the death of his three-month-old child.
According to officials, the investigation began on November 12, 2025, when police officers responded to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive infant at Reyes’ home.
Emergency responders rushed the child to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Authorities said the infant suffered severe trauma to the head and neck, which was determined to be consistent with blunt force injuries.
The case was jointly investigated by the Atlantic City Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
Prosecutors have filed a motion seeking to keep Reyes detained pending trial.
A detention hearing is expected to take place this week.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
