Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Friday, March 27, Aaron Schwartz, 45, of Mays Landing, was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison for a violation of probation and also sentenced concurrently to one year in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to fourth-degree contempt of a domestic violence restraining order.

Schwartz was initially given the opportunity to complete a probationary sentence after conviction of third-degree contempt and fourth-degree contempt resulting from two separate domestic violence events, ACPO officials say.
In the first event, according to Atlantic County officials, on February 24, 2024, the defendant went to victim T.J.'s residence and held up a sign stating "You're gonna pay" outside her home.
In the second event, on March 4, 2024, Defendant sent victim T.J. approximately 70 texts and phone calls, despite a restraining order being in place, ACPO officials stated.
Defendant is now convicted and sentenced for an incident that occurred on December 22, 2025. Despite an active restraining order, the defendant threatened to slash T.J.'s tires while standing outside T.J.'s home, Atlantic County authorities said.
ACPO officials said the Defendant was found by Hamilton Township Police Officers at victim T.J.'s residence with a boxcutter on his person.
Sentencing was conducted before the Honorable Ralph A. Paolone, J.S.C.
