We’re waking up to a much warmer and pleasant Thursday morning across Newark and the greater New Jersey region, with today shaping up to be the nicest day of the week.

Early morning temperatures in downtown Newark are around 47 degrees, but conditions will improve quickly as the day goes on.
Sunshine will break through after a cloudy start, pushing highs into the low 70s, a perfect setup for opening day baseball and outdoor plans.
It will be a bit breezy at times, especially this afternoon, so those heading out should keep that in mind.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will gradually clear with a high near 73 degrees. Southwest winds between 9 and 13 mph could gust up to 24 mph.
Enjoy the mild weather while it lasts, as conditions are expected to change later tonight.
Showers are likely to develop after 11 p.m. and continue into Friday morning, with a 90% chance of rain and gusty winds overnight.
Make it a great day, New Jersey.
