We’re waking up about 10 degrees warmer than this time yesterday as we get into this midweek Wednesday morning across New Jersey.

Good morning, Jersey. Temperatures are sitting around 40 degrees in downtown Newark, and you can already feel the difference outside.

It’s a milder start to the day as baseball season officially gets underway, marking the beginning of that long journey toward the World Series.

Conditions this morning are calm, and while you’ll still want a warm coat heading out the door, it’s definitely more comfortable than what we felt yesterday.

We’re also starting a short warming trend. Today’s highs will climb into the mid-50s, and by Thursday, many areas will push into the 60s, giving us a nice early taste of spring.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be partly sunny with a high near 56 degrees.

Winds will remain light, becoming southerly at around 5 to 9 miles per hour this afternoon.

Tonight, clouds will begin to increase, with temperatures dropping to around 44 degrees and a light south wind continuing.

Enjoy the milder feel, New Jersey, and ease into this Wednesday.
