Spring-Like Warmth Arrives in Newark as Temperatures Climb Into the Mid-70s

Residents across Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to a taste of spring this Tuesday as temperatures are expected to soar into the mid-70s under sunny skies.

Good morning to everyone starting their day across the region. Early risers heading out around 5 a.m. are experiencing a slightly chilly start, with temperatures hovering around 55 degrees in downtown Newark. 

 

However, the cool morning air is expected to give way to a beautiful and mild afternoon.

 

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 76 degrees. 

 

Winds will remain calm during the morning hours before becoming southwest at around 5 to 8 mph later in the afternoon.
 

The pleasant conditions are expected to continue into the evening.

Forecasters say tonight will be mostly clear with temperatures dropping to around 47 degrees. Winds will be light from the south at about 6 mph before becoming calm later in the night.

 

With bright sunshine and spring-like warmth in the forecast, it should be an excellent day for residents across Newark and North Jersey to get outside and enjoy the weather.
