Paterson Police officials are investigating a crash that sent several people to the hospital Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred just before 7:50 p.m., when emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Madison Avenue and Fifth Avenue after receiving reports of a motor vehicle collision.
When units arrived at the scene, they found three vehicles involved in the crash and immediately began securing the area.
According to preliminary information, several victims were transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities said the injuries sustained in the crash were not considered life-threatening.
The cause of the collision remains under active and ongoing investigation, and no additional information has been released at this time.
