At about 4:30 a.m., temperatures are hovering near 40 degrees, offering a relatively mild start to this Wednesday.

Skies across the region are cloudy but dry, and after some rain moved through overnight, conditions are expected to improve as the morning progresses.

It should turn out to be a fairly comfortable day for early March, with temperatures climbing to around 49 or 50 degrees by the afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, drivers may encounter patchy fog before 9 a.m., which could briefly reduce visibility in some areas.

Otherwise, expect partly sunny skies with light and variable winds throughout the day.

Looking ahead to tonight, clouds will increase again with patchy fog developing after 10 p.m.
